Two businesses in the southern part of Intercounty's service territory have been contacted this morning by an individual claiming to work for the co-op. This person has attempted to convince to businesses their electric bill is past due and will be disconnected if payment is not immediately paid.
Please be aware Intercounty will NOT call demanding payment. Please let us know if you receive a similar call and ALWAYS remember to hang up and call us directly at 866-621-3679 if you question the call at all.
Please share so that others will be on alert and not fall victim to this scam.
Contractors for Intercounty Electric will perform chemical vegetation spraying in our service area beginning August 15th. For more information click here.
Claim your capital credits
Due to the delay of a whole power cost increase, the cooperative collected more revenue than expected in 2014 as was able to return $750,000of the capital credits recorded that year in addition to the remaining distribution portion of capital credits from 1997 and a percentage of 1998. Members should have received their capital credit check in December 2015. Individuals who move or no longer have electric service with Intercounty and have not updated their addresses may not have received their checks.
Click here to see a list of individuals who did not receive a check due to invalid addresses. If you recognize the names of any individuals listed, please encourage them to contact Member Accounts at 866-621-3679 to update their address for future checks to be mailed to the correct address.
Also, if the member listed on the website is deceased, please let the cooperative know so that these funds and future allocations are returned to the appropriate party.
