IECA has teamed up with the MO Department of Conservation and their Share the Harvest program to provide an easy way for hunters to donate venison to Missourians in need. Hunters may donate their extra venison to our participating meat processor who will grind and package the deer meat. The packaged venison will then be given to a local food pantry for distribution to local residents in need of food assistance. This year, we’ll be teaming with Nelson Processing in Licking and the Texas County Food Pantry in Houston.

Members can donate throughout deer season, which takes place September 15 through January 15. It costs nothing to participate. All you have to do is drop off the deer at Nelson Processing. IECA and The Conservation Federation of Missouri pay the processing costs for donated deer and will take care of delivery to Texas County Food Pantry.
